The Golden Pagoda, Namsai, Arunachal Pradesh
The Golden Pagoda of Namsai is one of the major tourist attractions in Arunachal Pradesh. It is also known as Kongmu Kham in the Khamti language. Tourists from various parts of the world would certainly make a visit to this Golden Pagoda and will be thrilled after having the glimpse of the architecture spectacle, culture, tradition, and the tranquil surroundings. It resembles the Burmese architectural style. The height of the pagoda is about 17.60 m.

The appealing feature of the Golden Pagoda is its Bronze Buddha statue apparently in a meditating pose and faces the north direction. Also, it possesses 12 sub domes and extended over 20 Hectares of land. Coming to the complex of the Golden Pagoda, it faces east and boasts a vast shrine hall, a meditation hall, a guest house, a library, a monastery which providing shelter to 100 Bhikkhus and numerous quarters for the monks. Apart from it, the monastery contains an old age home and a clinic which provides health services to local people for free of cost.
